..look after your Battery
A battery should always be charged with its lid uppermost, in practical terms this is when the vent strip is uppermost and Crisscross pattern is underneath (Sonnenschein) or black lid (Yuasa) is uppermost. Always charge your battery for a minimum of 8 hours between rounds, this will ensure adequate charging.

PowaKaddy use the best battery technology available through Sonnenschein and Yuasa.
These lead-acid cyclic batteries use the latest technology to immobilise the electrolyte in the battery. This makes them very safe to use and maintenance free for the whole of their serviceable life.
Battery Care
When you receive your new battery please make sure that the date on the silver date label (located on the side of the battery casing - See below) is no more than 12 months previous, If it is, please return the battery to your point of purchase for a replacement.
The battery must be put on charge for a period of 24 hours, this will "activate" the battery. You will find that the "charge complete" light comes on before the 24 hours are up, you must keep the battery on charge.
When the battery is new you will need to "run the battery in" this will increase the capacity or "power" level. Within this running in period you may find that your trolley will lack power towards the end of the round, this is perfectly normal and will improve after 3 or 4 rounds of golf.
The battery must only be used for a maximum 18 holes after which time the battery should be re-charged as soon as possible (within a 24 hour period). As a matter of course the battery should be re-charged after each use even if less then 18 holes are played. Playing more than 18 holes could over discharge the battery to the point of damage.
Leave the battery connected to the charger for at least 8 hours with the mains supply switched on then leave on charge all the time the battery is not being used. This is completely safe and the cost of electricity is very minimal (less than 2 watts). Never leave your battery connected to the charger with the mains switched off, or during prolonged power failures, as this could irretrievably discharge your battery.
If you prefer not to leave your battery on charge as you know that you will not be playing for at least a month, you can store the battery. Fully charge the battery, remove from the charger and store in place where the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius (+10ºC) and less than 30 degrees Celsius (+30ºC). Recharge every 3 months or 24 hours before your next round.
When charging the battery do not place the battery on a concrete floor, have the battery raised off the floor on wooden blocks or place the battery on a shelf.
The batteries used by PowaKaddy are NOT nickel-cadmium, you should never fully discharge the battery with a light bulb or other means. This will, if done, cause severe damage to your battery and if the voltage has fallen below 9 Volts the charger will not be able to recover the battery.

- Frequency of use.
- Number of holes played each round.
- Type of course, flat or hilly.
- Weight of bag and clubs.
- Compliance to all of the attached recommendations.

Una batería debe cargarse siempre con su tapa hacia arriba, en términos prácticos esto significa que la banda de ventilación está arriba y el diseño entrecruzado se encuentra debajo (Sonnenschein) o la tapa negra (Yuasa) se encuentra arriba. Cargue siempre su batería durante un periodo mínimo de 8 horas entre usos, lo que le asegurará una carga adecuada.

Estas baterías cíclicas de plomo ácido emplean la última tecnología para inmovilizar los electrolitos en la batería. Esto las convierte en baterías de uso muy seguro y sin necesidad de mantenimiento durante toda su vida útil.
Cuidado de la batería.
Cuando adquiera una nueva batería, asegúrese de que la fecha de la etiqueta plateada (situada en un lateral de la carcasa de la batería) no supere los 12 meses anteriores. Si éste fuese el caso, devuelva la batería al punto de venta y pida otra nueva.
La batería debe cargarse durante un periodo de 24 horas, con ello se «activará». Observará que el piloto luminoso que indica que la carga se ha completado se enciende antes de que se consuman las 24 horas, no obstante deberá seguir cargando la batería.
Cuando una batería es nueva, deberá ponerla en funcionamiento, lo que incrementará la capacidad del nivel de potencia. Durante este periodo de funcionamiento, observará que su carrito no posee la suficiente potencia al finalizar el trayecto, esto es algo normal y que mejorará tras 3 ó 4 partidos de golf.
La batería únicamente deberá usarse durante un partido máximo de 18 hoyos, tras lo cual deberá recargarla tan pronto como sea posible (durante un periodo de 24 horas). De manera general, la batería debe recargarse después de cada uso, incluso si se juega un partido de menos de 18 hoyos. Si juega un partido de más de 18 hoyos, la batería podría descargarse hasta el punto de acabar dañada.
Deje la batería conectada al cargador durante al menos 8 horas con las tomas de alimentación encendidas en carga durante todo el tiempo en el que no esté en uso la batería. Esto es algo totalmente seguro y el coste energético es mínimo (menos de 2 vatios). Nunca deje su batería conectada al cargador con las tomas apagadas, o durante cortes de electricidad prolongados, dado que podría descargarla de forma irreparable.
Si no desea dejar su batería cargando si sabe que no va a volver a utilizarla durante al menos un mes, puede guardarla. Recargue totalmente la batería, desconéctela del cargador y guárdela en un lugar cuya temperatura se encuentre entre los 10ºC y los 30ºC. Recárguela cada tres meses o 24 horas antes de su próximo uso.
Cuando cargue la batería no la sitúe sobre una superficie de cemento, colóquela sobre bloques de madera o en una estantería.
Las baterías que emplea PowaKaddy NO son de níquel y cadmio, no debe descargarla nunca con una bombilla ni por otros medios, en cuyo caso podría provocar un grave daño a su batería y, si el voltaje cae por debajo de los 9 voltios, el cargador no podrá recuperar la batería.

- La frecuencia de uso.
- El número de hoyos jugados en cada partido.
- El tipo de campo, liso o con cuestas.
- El peso de la bolsa y los accesorios.
- El cumplimiento de las recomendaciones anteriores.
